Hilary Koech, MD
Dr. Hilary Koech is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee care and joint replacement surgery. His goal is simple to help patients move better, feel better, and return to the activities that are important to them.
Dr. Koech completed advanced fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, where he received specialized training in primary and complex hip and knee replacement, revision joint replacement, robotic assisted surgery, computer navigation, and modern minimally invasive techniques. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
He treats patients experiencing hip and knee arthritis, joint pain, mobility limitations, and problems with previous joint replacements Whenever possible, De Koech works with patients to explore their treatment options and develop an individualized plan based on their condition, lifestyle, and personal goals.
When surgery is appropriate, he incorporates moder technologies, including robotic-assisted and computer-navigated joint replacement to support surgical precision and help patients achieve the best possible outcome.
For Dr. Koech, excellent care starts with listening. He is known for an approachable and compassionate style and belleves patients should understand their diagnosis, feel comfortable asking questions, and have an active role in decisions about their care. His focus extends beyond treating a painful joint-he wants to help each patient restore mobility, regain independence, and get back to living life with confidence.
Dr. Koech has also been actively involved in orthopedic research throughout his training. contributing to peer-reviewed publications and national presentations focused on advancing surgical care and improving patient outcomes. He is passionate about mentorship and medical education and has received numerous academic and research honors throughout his career.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Koech enjoys soccer, music, and movies. He is fluent in English and Swahili, allowing him to connect with and care for patients from a variety of backgrounds.
