This website is operated by The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches. This Website Privacy Notice applies to information collected passively while you browse our website. If you become a patient or submit information through a form for the purpose of receiving medical care, that information is protected health information (PHI) and handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which takes precedence for PHI.
Tools we use on this website:
- Google Analytics 4 (property
G-YXFF9BPWS6, operated by Google LLC) — measures page views, session activity, and site engagement so we can understand how visitors use the site. - Google reCAPTCHA (operated by Google LLC) — prevents automated spam on our contact and appointment forms.
- Google Fonts (operated by Google LLC) — delivers the typefaces used on the site.
- Cloudflare (operated by Cloudflare, Inc.) — provides content delivery, bot protection, and security challenges. Cloudflare may process your IP address, browser metadata, and request information, and may set short-lived security cookies.
- rater8 (operated by rater8, LLC) — powers the patient-review widget displayed on portions of the site. Loads review content and processes browser metadata to render the widget.
- accessiBe (acsbapp.com, operated by accessiBe Ltd.) — provides the accessibility toolbar that lets visitors adjust the site for their needs. Loads configuration and runtime resources and processes browser metadata.
Information collected by these tools may include: your IP address, a randomly generated visitor ID stored in the _ga cookie, pages viewed and the URLs (including query parameters) of those pages, referring website, approximate geographic location, browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen resolution, and timestamps of your visits. Google may combine this information with data it holds about you from other sources.
What these tools do NOT collect from this website: we do not transmit the contents of any form field (name, date of birth, phone, email, address, insurance, problem description, doctor selection, or any other data you type into a form) to Google Analytics or any third party. Once you begin interacting with a form on this site, analytics collection is suppressed for the remainder of your session.
Data retention: Google Analytics retains event-level data for 14 months. Aggregate reports are retained indefinitely.
Legal basis / purpose: we collect this information for our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the website. We do not use website analytics data to make treatment decisions or combine it with medical records.
Your Choices
- Opt out of analytics cookies at any time via our /opt-out-preferences/. Opting out will stop analytics cookies from being set going forward.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): our site honors the GPC browser signal where enabled.

These tools are not covered by a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement and are not used to collect protected health information.
Information Submitted Through Forms
Contact forms and appointment-request forms on this website transmit information to the practice for the purpose of responding to your request or scheduling an appointment. Any such information — including your name, date of birth, contact information, insurance details, and description of your medical concern — is handled in accordance with our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and is not shared with Google or any third-party analytics vendor.
