Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Dana Desser is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Desser focuses on joint replacement surgery and injury prevention. Before joining The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery, he spent many years treating patients at Florida OrthoCare.
As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Desser is at the cutting edge of joint replacement excellence. His orthopedic residency was done at the York Medical Hospital and he then completed his fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital. Dr. Desser earned his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and his undergraduate degree from John Carrol University. During his collegiate years, he completed an orthopedic internship at Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center.
Dr. Desser is committed to advancing the field of orthopedics through extensive research which is then published in peer-reviewed journals. Along with being a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he has also been an honorary chair member for the Arthritis Foundation Walk and served as a co-chair for the Wellington Boys and Girls Club Gala.
