As a student, Dr. Montijo was a member of the dean’s list, as well as a four-year judo state champion in Puerto Rico and a gold and bronze medal winner at the Judo Central American Games.
Dr. Montijo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association, Honorary Member of Panama Orthopaedic Society and American Medical Association.
Dr. Montijo is a clinical associate professor at HCA Florida JFK Hospital/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Orthopaedic Residency program .
In his leisure time, Dr. Montijo enjoys golf and leisure boating with his family.
