Dr. Diego Lima is a multi-specialty Orthopedic surgeon focusing his practice on the shoulder, elbow, sports medicine, and adult orthopedic reconstruction. He was fellowship-trained at Cleveland Clinic Florida, and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Dr. Lima earned his medical doctorate’s degree from Alagoas State University of Health Sciences (UNCISAL) in Brazil, where he also completed his residency in Orthopedics, fellowships in Adult Hip Reconstruction and Musculoskeletal Oncology at Taubate University and Santa Casa de Sao Paulo. Dr. Lima is board-certified by the Brazilian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SBOT) and is a member of the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB).
Dr. Lima has dedicated part of his training and practice to research, where he has received numerous awards and has been published in many peer-reviewed national and international publications and book chapters. He has contributed to international consensus in the field of shoulder arthroplasty.

His hospital affiliations include JFK Medical Center North Campus and Jupiter Medical Center, and he also performs surgery at Palms Wellington Surgical Center. Dr. Lima sees patients in our Royal Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Port St. Lucie offices.
In his spare time, Dr. Lima enjoys participating in sports such as soccer, cycling, and car racing. He is an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, which he passes along to his patients. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
