Knee
Sports, aging, trauma, and arthritis are common causes of knee pain and loss of function. The Center for Bone and Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches has on-site X-ray and MRI to help your orthopedic doctor diagnose your knee problem promptly so that you can receive the most appropriate treatment. Depending on your knee diagnosis, your doctor may have you visit our on-site fully equipped physical therapy rehabilitation facility to help you get stronger and regain motion. Our orthopedic specialists offer joint viscosupplementation injections, which act as "oil" to lubricate knee joints that are affected by osteoarthritis. If surgery is needed, many knee surgeries, such as repair of meniscus tears and anterior or posterior cruciate ligament repair (ACL, PCL Repair), can be performed at our on-site outpatient surgical center. In addition, our Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons perform knee replacements to remove the damaged joint and replace it with an artificial one. In qualified cases, our surgeons can perform minimally invasive knee replacements, which provide smaller incisions, less down time and pain and a quicker recovery.
